• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small‑group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

• Basic PC/Outlook skills
• Retail Management Certificate

Under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, the Grocery Clerk will provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting customers with product location and inquiries.
• Cleaning display cases, shelves, and self‑serve displays.
• Restocking and rotating product to maintain freshness.
• Managing inventory and ensuring accurate shelf tags.
• Performing heavy lifting, bending, and stooping as required.
• Working a variety of hours, including nights and weekends.

The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store, and essential functions include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling, as well as visual and auditory requirements.
