Overview
We are seeking a self‑starter and entrepreneur to drive cutting‑edge energy management strategies and help businesses navigate the energy transition. Candidates must be committed to delivering superior energy advice to companies facing volatile market prices, reliability challenges, and aggressive carbon reduction targets.
Location EligibilityYou must live in one of the following states: NY, PA, MA, NJ, MD, CT, DE, RI, IL, TX, OH, or NH.
Base Pay Range$75,000 – $175,000 per year (uncapped commission potential).
Responsibilities- Prospecting and Lead Generation:
Identify and cultivate potential clients through proactive outreach, cold calling, and networking. - Relationship Building:
Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and renewals. - Client Consultations:
Meet with clients to understand their energy needs and risk tolerance, and identify how 5 can best serve them. - Continuous Learning:
Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities and maintain a competitive edge. - Sales Presentations:
Deliver compelling sales presentations and maintain an executive‑level presence. - Negotiation and Closing:
Address client concerns and objections, ultimately closing sales and achieving revenue targets. - Collaboration with Internal Teams:
Align sales strategies with overall business goals, ensuring a seamless customer experience. - CRM Management:
Use Hub Spot to track leads, manage accounts, and optimize the sales process for efficiency and effectiveness.
- 3+ years’ experience in the energy industry (retail gas, electricity, sustainability, solar, demand response, etc.) or a translatable industry.
- 3+ years of experience in B2B outside sales.
- Experience identifying new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and other channels.
- High level of autonomy, resilience, and determination in a team‑oriented sales process.
- Strong collaboration skills, both independently and within a team.
- Ambition, passion, teamwork, and grit.
- BA/BS degree preferred.
- Base salary plus uncapped commission.
