The Territory Sales Manager (South) will be responsible for driving sales and cultivating relationships within their designated territory. This role requires a proactive approach to business development, with a strong emphasis on growing the business by working within an existing customer base and converting new prospects into loyal customers. The Territory Sales Manager will manage a portfolio of accounts, drive sales initiatives, and ensure Lulu and Georgia’s brand presence within their territory.
Additionally, this role will involve overseeing a Trade Sales Specialist, who will assist in servicing accounts and handling administrative tasks such as writing up invoices and managing customer documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Proactive Business Growth:
Consistently work to expand your customer base by proactively reaching out to existing clients and identifying opportunities to deepen those relationships. Develop strategies for converting new members into customers, ensuring consistent business growth - Sales Strategy Execution:
Implement territory-specific sales strategies that focus on both maintaining and expanding current accounts and securing new business opportunities. Meet and exceed revenue targets by effectively nurturing leads and closing sales - Account Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts. Ensure client satisfaction by providing exceptional service and delivering timely solutions - Product Promotion:
Promote and educate customers on Lulu and Georgia’s product offerings, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of the brand to convert leads into sales - Sales Presentations:
Lead presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients and partners, showcasing the full scope of Lulu and Georgia’s offerings - Sales Reporting:
Track progress, monitor KPIs, and report performance to the Manager, Trade Sales. Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales activities, and sales pipeline - Event Coordination:
Participate in regional trade shows, events, and brand activations to increase brand visibility, develop leads, and drive business - Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams (marketing, logistics, product) to ensure alignment and success of sales strategies - Team Management:
Oversee the territory’s Trade Sales Specialist, ensuring they effectively handle key administrative and support tasks, such as writing up invoices, answering Zendesk inquiries and maintaining strong communication with clientS
Requirements:
- 7+ years of sales experience, preferably selling to interior designers and other members of the trade industry
- Proven ability to proactively grow a business by cultivating relationships with existing clients and converting new prospects into customers
- Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while working independently and collaborating with a team
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software (Salesforce, Hub Spot, etc.)
- Willingness to travel within the designated territory
