Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Regional Sales Director to join our team in a quota-carrying hunter role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating net new business opportunities by leveraging their established network, Microsoft field sales teams, and a deep understanding of solution sales cycles. This role demands a proven track record of success in selling project-oriented IT consulting services, strong relationship-building skills, and a strategic approach to achieving sales targets in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities Net New Business Generation- Proactively hunt and generate net new business opportunities by leveraging relationships with the Microsoft field sales team and personal network.
- Build a robust sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, and relationship‑building activities.
- Leverage knowledge of the Microsoft partner ecosystem and established network of Microsoft sellers to drive business opportunities.
- Stay up to date on Microsoft solutions, programs, and funding initiatives to create additional value for clients.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Microsoft Sales Team, Microsoft Regional and Industry leadership and technology decision‑makers, and business decision‑makers, including C‑suite executives.
- Build strong relationship with Microsoft sales team as a Go‑To Trusted Partner.
- Become a trusted advisor and technology partner to clients, understanding their challenges and aligning our solutions to meet their business needs.
- Drive sales of Microsoft-focused solutions, including Azure Infrastructure, Data Services, Cloud Migration, Data Analytics, and IT consulting services.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams to design and present tailored solutions to prospective clients.
- Consistently achieve or exceed annual sales quotas, with a history of generating $3 million to $5 million in new closed business.
- Maintain and document verifiable quota achievements for the past three years.
- Conduct high‑impact presentations to clients and internal teams, showcasing executive presence and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Be willing to travel up to 25% to meet clients and attend relevant events.
- Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in selling outsourced IT consulting services with overall 10+ years in Sales, with a focus on solutions‑driven, project-oriented services (not license or managed services). - Microsoft Network:
Established network within the Microsoft partner ecosystem and connections with Microsoft sellers. - Proven Track Record:
Demonstrated ability to identify, qualify, and close net new business opportunities, with verifiable quota achievement. - Sales
Skills:
Deep understanding of solution sales cycles, creative problem‑solving, and overcoming sales challenges. - Microsoft Ecosystem Knowledge:
Experience selling Microsoft Sales team org structure, revenue quota, sales cycles and product solutions, including Azure Infrastructure, Data Services, IT consulting, Cloud Migration, and Data Analytics. - Communication:
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver impactful presentations to diverse audiences, including C‑suite executives. - Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field; MBA or sales certifications are a plus. - Personal Attributes:
Self‑starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, collaborative team player, and agile thinker.
