Overview

Journey is looking to fill a client's need on this job opportunity:

Role Details
  • Title: Account Manager
  • Location: Remote, but potentially in office if in the Dallas area
  • 3–7 years experience in freight brokerage or managed transportation
  • Sales focused;
    Account Managers are considered INSIDE SALES
  • Strong account ownership mindset (retention + growth)
  • Comfortable owning revenue, margin, and service KPIs
  • Experience with high-visibility or specialized freight
  • Operationally fluent (can speak carrier, customer, and ops)
  • Calm under pressure; proactive communicator
  • Data-aware (margin, win rates, shipment trends)
  • Values process, documentation, and follow-through
  • Approx. 40–70 shipments per week (varies by account mix)
  • Mid-seven-figure annual revenue book with expansion opportunity
  • Travel: ~15% (conferences, client meetings, in-person sales events in Dallas)
