Sandlin Homes has been building in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex since 1957, when J.B. Sandlin built his first home. Three generations later, we’re still family-owned, still in DFW, and still building the same way: with hard work, ethical standards, and a quality standard that hasn’t been watered down by corporate ownership or private equity.
Today we operate 15+ active communities across Johnson, Tarrant, Collin, and Parker counties. We’re growing, adding communities, adding people, and investing in the tools and training that help our team sell more homes and build real careers. If you’re looking for a builder where your name is known and your work actually matters, this is the place.
Role DescriptionThe Community Sales Manager is the face of Sandlin Homes in their assigned community. This is a full-time, on-site role based out of a model home in the DFW metroplex. You’ll own every aspect of your community’s sales performance: driving traffic, converting prospects, guiding buyers through selections and construction, and delivering an experience that earns referrals.
This isn’t an order-taking position. You’re responsible for generating and managing your pipeline, building relationships with local real estate agents, maintaining your model home to brand standards, and collaborating with construction and design teams to keep every buyer’s experience seamless from first visit through closing day.
What You’ll Do- Drive leads, generate appointments, and convert prospects into contracts in your assigned community
- Manage the complete new-home sales process from initial contact through closing
- Facilitate buyer selections, design center appointments, and construction milestone communications
- Maintain a welcoming, brand-standard model home and sales environment
- Develop deep knowledge of your community’s floor plans, home sites, pricing, specs, and competitive landscape
- Build and maintain productive relationships with local real estate agents through consistent outreach
- Execute disciplined CRM follow-up cadences to ensure no prospect goes cold
- Monitor local market conditions and competitor activity, reporting insights to sales leadership
- Help organize community events and marketing initiatives that drive traffic
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals while maintaining high customer satisfaction
- Work with the builder and construction team to ensure the community is presentable and move-in ready homes are delivered to standard
- 3+ years of new-home sales experience (DFW market strongly preferred)
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive market
- Experience in real estate, marketing, and customer service
- Strong understanding of the home buying process, construction timelines, and buyer psychology
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable operating independently in a model home environment
- Proficiency with CRM tools (Hub Spot experience is a plus)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work effectively in a team environment
- Available to work weekends and select evenings/holidays (this is a model-home role with regular weekend traffic)
- Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation
- 68 years of continuous operation in DFW. Stability you won’t find at a startup builder.
- Family-owned culture where your name is known and your contributions are recognized
- Growing portfolio of 15+ communities across four counties with real career path opportunities
- Competitive compensation with a commission structure that rewards performance
- A leadership team that invests in sales coaching, professional development, and modern tools
- Data-driven sales organization. We’re building systems that help you sell, not burying you in busywork.
If you’re a new-home sales professional who takes ownership of your community and wants to grow with a builder that’s scaling the right way, we want to hear from you.
