The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As a Regional Sales Representative, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Leading sales to grow sales for C&I business in the assigned territory.
- Implementing sales plans, promotions, and directives as set by division management.
- Determining sales plan for specified territory.
- Supporting end-users and distribution as necessary.
- Working on a team with other C&I reps and partner 3M divisions.
Company Vehicle
This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university
- Five (5) years or more of experience in Direct Sales and/or Electrical Construction / Industrial experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Sales experience in the Electrical Construction and Electrical Industrial Markets
- Aptitude to understand and train customers on multiple product lines and applications
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to all levels
- Ability to qualify and prioritize sales opportunities within their assigned territory
- Experience working in a matrix environment or large complex organization
- Strong negotiation and relationship building skills
- Secondary language skills preferred
Travel:
Up to 20% overnight travel within the territory is anticipated
Relocation:
