A Brief Overview

As a Sales Consultant with Tri Net you'll help power business success by pursuing new prospects, sharing and quantifying our value proposition, and selling Tri Net's comprehensive solution which includes access to benefits, payroll, and HR services to companies with 5-99 employees within your designated territory. You will prospect, build your own book of business, own your opportunities, and execute your sales process with an organized calendar of activities.

What

You Will Do
  • Plan:
    Develop an annual plan to hit targets in a defined territory, typically covering multiple states and/or regions and a diverse portfolio of industries, all centered around larger businesses with 5-99 employees.
  • Prospect:
    Consistently build a balanced pipeline of target prospects through traditional means (cold calling, email, phone, Linked In) and through a diverse ecosystem of partners to provide referrals and business development opportunities.
  • Qualify opportunities:
    Quickly determine whether prospects fit the target market and decision‑making personas.
  • Value & Consultative Selling:
    Establish a trusted advisor relationship, both inside Tri Net and within the prospect’s decision‑making system, to secure long‑term client relationships.
  • Sales Process:
    Use a sophisticated, multi‑step selling process with defined criteria, executive sponsorship, and internal business processes. Manage multiple complex opportunities in parallel through a typical 3‑6‑month sales cycle.
  • Sales tools and systems:
    Moderate daily activities using , Linked In Sales Navigator, Zoominfo, and quoting tools.
  • Achieve quota target and meet sales activity metrics.
  • Complete all administrative tasks promptly.
  • Demonstrate Tri Net’s core values daily.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.
Education Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience Qualifications
  • Typically 1+ years of B2B complex sales cycle experience required.
Skills And Abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to build book of business from prospecting, sourcing, establishing and maximizing partner and referral networks.
  • Ability to build strong ecosystem partnerships and business referral relationships to share the value and mission.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and sales opportunities at different stages.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • A proven dedication to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
  • Adaptability to a fast‑paced, continually evolving business environment while balancing priorities.
  • Experience with technology and common software and web applications, including MS Office and

Travel Requirements

Ability and willingness to travel to prospective clients' sites within the assigned territory.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this role is $67,500.00 to $87,000.00. Candidates hired into sales organization roles are also eligible for commissions consistent with Tri Net’s commission plan.
