Position: Retail Sales Associate - 0076

Full‑Time Retail Sales Associate – $10.00 to $14.00 per hour

We offer an easily achievable commission structure, paying up to 8% on transactions, potentially adding $2.96 per hour on top of the base rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for pawn store locations nationwide. The associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides. They greet, engage, and process sales, loans, and other transactions across a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more.

Responsibilities
  • Greets and interacts with customers, building rapport for appropriate financial solutions.
  • Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
  • Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and merchandise displays maintained.
  • Executes sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Handles all cash and negotiable items per policy and regulations.
  • Answers incoming calls to company standards.
  • Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, demonstrating respect.
  • Partners with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
  • Completes assigned training successfully.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, etc.).
  • Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
  • May assist customers outside the building or retrieve items from exterior storage.
  • Minimum age 18.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong desire to work with customers, be team‑oriented.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficient basic math calculations.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Flexible to work multiple locations as needed.
  • Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literate, able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
  • Bilingual applicants encouraged.
Commission Plan Information

Commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers may earn 2–8% commission based on gross profit of their performance. Detailed information is provided during the interview.

Payment rates will not be below any applicable local minimum wage requirements.
