A hospitality company is seeking a Corporate Director of Hotel Sales to lead sales strategy, business development, account production, and revenue-driving sales execution across a growing hotel portfolio. Based in Dallas, this role will require periodic travel to portfolio properties. The position will support a mix of independent and branded hotels located in key leisure and drive-to markets, with a strong emphasis on property-level execution and asset-level performance.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a builder and creator. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing sales infrastructure, generating new demand channels, cultivating strategic account relationships, supporting on-property sales teams, and implementing scalable sales processes across the portfolio.

The ideal candidate possesses both strategic and tactical hotel sales expertise and is comfortable developing and executing sales plans, particularly for independent hotels. This individual will actively pursue new business opportunities, maintain key account relationships, collaborate closely with revenue management and operations teams, and identify opportunities that enhance overall hotel performance and profitability. Candidates should have a proven track record of driving revenue growth, building sales programs, and delivering measurable results within a multi-property hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead sales strategy across hotel portfolio
  • Create property-specific sales plans that support occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, direct revenue, and overall asset performance
  • Balance portfolio-wide sales strategy with the unique needs of each hotel and market
  • Partner with hospitality leadership, asset management, revenue management, marketing, operations, and property teams to align sales activity with business goals
  • Serve as the primary corporate sales leader for hotel assets, ensuring strong execution, accountability, and follow-through
Business Development & Account Production
  • Identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities across group, corporate, leisure, social, SMERF, sports, government, and local market segments where applicable
  • Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, meeting planners, local businesses, tourism partners, travel advisors, and market influencers
  • Lead proactive sales efforts, including prospecting, account outreach, site visits, client entertainment, trade events, and follow-up strategy
  • Create account plans and measurable production goals for priority segments and markets
  • Help properties capture business that aligns with rate strategy, demand patterns, and asset objectives
Independent Hotel Sales Strategy
  • Develop sales strategies for independent hotels that do not rely solely on brand systems or national account platforms
  • Create distinctive sales positioning for each independent asset based on location, guest experience, amenities, and target customers
  • Partner with marketing to connect sales strategy with brand messaging, packages, digital campaigns, and direct booking initiatives
  • Identify local and regional demand generators that can support base business and seasonal compression periods
  • Help independent hotels build repeatable sales processes, account databases, prospect lists, and market outreach plans
Branded Hotel Sales Support
  • Support branded hotel assets while working within applicable brand standards, systems, tools, and sales channels
  • Identify local and regional sales opportunities that complement brand-level programs
  • Collaborate with property leadership to improve account penetration, local visibility, and booking conversion
  • Help branded assets maximize performance through market-specific sales activity, partnerships, and relationship-driven business development
  • Ensure sales efforts remain aligned with ownership goals, brand requirements, and property-level revenue strategy
  • Partner closely with revenue management to ensure sales activity supports pricing strategy, market mix, need periods, and profit objectives
