Account Executive – AI-Native Cybersecurity

About the Company:

On behalf of our client, we're seeking an exceptional Founding Account Executive to join a venture-backed cybersecurity startup solving one of the most critical and underserved problems in enterprise security. Their AI-native platform sits across an organisation's existing security stack - continuously identifying blind spots, eliminating misconfigurations, and automating remediation so security teams can stay ahead of threats without adding complexity.

This is a rare opportunity to join at an early stage alongside a world-class team of security leaders and AI engineers building a genuinely differentiated product with strong enterprise traction.

About the Role:

As the company accelerates growth across the US market, they're looking for a driven Founding Account Executive to own the full sales cycle and play a central role in shaping how they go to market. You'll be one of the first sales hires - building pipeline from scratch, closing deals, and working directly alongside founders to define the playbook that scales with the business.

Responsibilities:
  • Own the full sales cycle from cold outreach to close and account expansion, driving every stage with urgency and precision.
  • Hunt and develop new business across target accounts - you're building pipeline from the ground up, not inheriting a territory.
  • Build trusted relationships with CISOs, security leaders, and technical stakeholders, becoming a genuine partner throughout the buying process.
  • Hit and exceed revenue targets consistently, motivated by what each win represents at this stage of growth.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, and Leadership to sharpen the GTM motion and bring field intelligence back into the business.
  • Be the voice of the customer - your insights from the front line will directly shape product direction and sales strategy.
  • Help lay the foundation - building repeatable processes and playbooks that scale as the team grows around you.
What We're Looking For:
  • You have a track record of hitting and exceeding quota in cybersecurity sales - numbers you're proud to talk to.
  • Experience selling security posture, misconfiguration risk, or AI-native security tooling is a strong bonus.
  • You've sold into security-focused organisations before - CISOs and technical buyers don't intimidate you, they energise you.
  • You're a self-starter who owns pipeline generation without being told to - you thrive without hand-holding.
  • Builder mentality — you're excited by the ambiguity of early-stage and see it as an opportunity, not a challenge.
  • You communicate with clarity and credibility, whether you're in a technical deep-dive or an executive conversation.
  • You know how to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and keep momentum without losing control of the deal.
