Compensation
: $95,000 - $100,000 base salary + Strong Bonus
Tiello is partnering with a growing commercial construction and waterproofing contractor to identify a highly motivated Business Development Manager (BDM) for Large Commercial Projects in Dallas, TX. This role is a strong opportunity for a sales-driven professional looking to build long-term relationships with owners, property managers, consulting engineers, and other decision-makers within the commercial construction industry.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and help develop strategic relationships with partners and potential customers
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of large commercial project opportunities through direct and indirect prospecting efforts
- Work closely with Marketing and Sales teams to implement business development initiatives
- Plan and attend networking events, trade shows, webinars, conferences, and presentations
- Generate new business through outbound lead generation activities and company research
- Qualify inbound leads, prioritize opportunities, and coordinate internal resources to accelerate the sales cycle
- Maintain a strong understanding of the company’s broad range of service offerings
- Effectively communicate the company’s competitive differentiators and value proposition to prospects and existing clients
- Nurture prospects through in-person meetings, relationship-building efforts, and ongoing communication
- Track sales activities, opportunities, pipeline updates, and KPIs within the CRM database
- Perform building take-offs to obtain accurate measurements and quantities for estimating purposes
- Coordinate with estimating teams to prepare proposals and pricing documentation
- Present project proposals and assist with negotiations and client reviews
- 3–5 years of experience in commercial construction, waterproofing, or related industries
- Proven experience developing and managing large commercial project opportunities
- Proven skills in account development, opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, sales strategy, and time management
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and competitive mindset
- High level of professionalism and integrity
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability and willingness to travel regionally for training courses, meetings, and industry events
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, CRM software, PowerPoint, and proposal preparation
- Basic familiarity with construction drawings, job specifications, and jobsite visits for estimating purposes
- Goal-oriented mindset with a focus on winning new business opportunities and expanding market presence
