at townsquare media group, we're seeking a regional account executive to develop and expand partnerships with advertisers and advertising agencies. This role has a primary focus on radio advertising sales, while also offering opportunities to incorporate digital marketing solutions and live event sponsor ships when they align with client objectives.

what you’ll do:

as a regional account executive, you'll serve as a strategic partner to advertisers and advertising agencies, developing customized marketing solutions that drive measurable results across multiple markets.

this role focuses on growing and retaining existing business while identifying new revenue opportunities within your assigned territory.

you'll:

  • build, maintain, and expand relationships with advertisers and advertising agencies throughout your territory
  • manage a portfolio of existing accounts, driving revenue growth through strategic account planning, upselling, and cross‑selling opportunities
  • prospect and secure new business opportunities with brands and emerging advertisers
  • develop customized, integrated marketing solutions utilizing radio, digital advertising, sponsor ships, and live events
  • conduct needs assessments and consult with clients to understand business objectives, target audiences, and marketing challenges
  • prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and campaign recommendations backed by audience insights and market data
  • partner with local market teams and internal subject‑matter experts to develop and execute successful advertising campaigns
  • monitor campaign performance and provide ongoing reporting, optimization recommendations, and strategic guidance
  • maintain accurate pipeline activity, forecasting, and account documentation within crm systems
  • stay current on industry trends, audience behavior, competitive offerings, and townsquare's evolving suite of advertising solutions
what you’ll bring:
  • 7+ years of media sales experience (required), with a strong preference for candidates who have worked directly with advertisers, advertising agencies, and multi‑market campaigns.
  • proven success managing regional and national accounts, agency relationships, or multi‑market advertising campaigns
  • demonstrated track record of consistently achieving or exceeding revenue goals
  • strong understanding of broadcast radio, digital media, audience targeting, attribution, and advertising strategy
  • experience creating and presenting strategic marketing recommendations to decision‑makers and stakeholders
  • ability to identify growth opportunities within existing accounts while proactively developing new business
  • excellent relationship‑building, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously
