Associate Client Development Manager – Sustainability Services
We are looking for an experienced sales professional to drive the growth of our Sustainability Services portfolio within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) market in the United States. The role requires a strategic mindset, consultative selling skills, and a passion for helping customers achieve business performance and sustainability goals.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute account plans to target executive-level decision makers at CPG companies.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and qualifying techniques.
- Design customized solutions that combine Schneider Electric’s sustainability expertise with industry leading technology.
- Lead the preparation of sales proposals, coordinating with solutions architects, operations specialists, and delivery resources as needed.
- Negotiate and close contracts for Climate Change, Climate Risk, Supply Chain, and other sustainability services, achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Manage the sales pipeline in Salesforce, ensuring accurate and timely information on prospects and opportunities.
- Collaborate with inside sales, marketing, and operations teams to refine go‑to‑market strategies and improve offering effectiveness.
- Consultative selling and the ability to uncover customer needs.
- Strong relationship management and trust‑building with senior executives.
- In-depth product knowledge of sustainability solutions and their business impact.
- Effective negotiation and contract structuring skills.
- Financial acumen to understand budgets and demonstrate ROI.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities for diverse audiences.
- Sales funnel management and pipeline tracking expertise.
- Industry awareness of sustainability trends and challenges.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Significant enterprise sales experience (minimum 5+ years) selling professional services to executives at Fortune 1000 companies.
- Preferred background in energy and sustainability consulting, cleantech, renewable energy advisory, business services outsourcing, or environmental services.
- Proven success in navigating long, complex sales cycles (6–12 months) in a consultative role.
- Understanding of Scope1, 2 and 3 emissions, supply chain sustainability, and science‑based reduction targets.
- Self‑starter with strong research, lead generation, and prospecting skills.
- Experience negotiating multi‑five‑figure agreements and closing sales.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook) and Salesforce CRM.
- Authorized to work in the United States full time; no immigration sponsorship provided.
