The Part‑Time Outside Sales Representative is in the field 15‑20 hours per week. As a Part‑Time Outside Sales Representative, you will play a pivotal role in our organization’s sales success, directly responsible for growing sales dollars and expanding market presence within your assigned territory. This part‑time, field‑based position is focused on selling, building relationships, developing new business opportunities and executing sales plans.
Sales Representatives are results‑driven, persuasive, and motivated individuals who excel in selling and achieving new business growth.
- Sales/Territory Management/Business Development – own your territory and actively manage a strategic call cycle to grow sales at existing accounts and secure new business. Build strong relationships with buyers, present compelling sales opportunities, and execute effective sales strategies. Regular travel is required to meet face‑to‑face with accounts in your territory, with additional travel as needed.
- Achieving Sales Targets – be accountable for territory sales goals, new item placements, and account development. Your sales performance will be evaluated based on sales dollars within your assigned territory, successful new item placements, account reach, and new accounts. Develop and implement strategies to meet and exceed these goals.
- In‑Field Execution & Relationship Building – successfully engage in‑person with accounts and manage strong relationships. Travel within your assigned territory four days per week for face‑to‑face interactions with buyers and store managers. Attend industry events, trade shows, and meetings to strengthen partnerships and stay informed on market trends. Provide in‑store execution, such as ensuring promotional displays are set up, shelf tags are accurate, and stock is properly rotated.
- Sales‑Driven Execution – implement sales initiatives, promotional programs, photo documentation for retail execution and brand growth strategies at your accounts. Check shelf tags, rotate stock, and perform audits when needed.
- Collaboration & Communication – maintain proactive, solution‑driven communication with both internal and external stakeholders. Work closely with sales leadership, brand partners, and internal teams to align on goals and initiatives. Provide market insights, competitive intelligence, and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Data & Analytics – utilize sales data and market insights to identify opportunities and maximize sales. Analyze key metrics, including SPINS, Nielsen, Power BI, store‑level void reports, and distributor data, to make informed decisions that drive sales performance.
This role requires a high degree of autonomy, independent decision‑making, self‑motivation and the ability to influence sales growth within the assigned market.

What we are looking for- Live in the assigned territory and meet in‑person with retailers, brands, coworkers and visit stores.
- Proven ability to sell, negotiate, and build lasting client relationships.
- Strong business acumen, with experience managing a sales pipeline and meeting/exceeding sales targets.
- Comfortable working independently and making decisions in a fast‑paced sales environment.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel within the assigned territory (four days per week in the field). Travel is required.
- Interest in natural/organic food and products.
- Flexibility to successfully multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment and manage deadlines with a positive attitude.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs when handling promotional materials or setting up displays.
Salary: Part time position, hourly rate commensurate with level of experience, location and current market landscape.
