About the Opportunity
This is the launchpad for an early-career sales professional, preferably based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. As LaborIQ's Business Development Representative, you'll be the tip of the spear in our go-to-market effort, carrying a genuinely differentiated product story directly to HR leaders and senior executives who are hungry for what we offer.
LaborIQ is not another generic compensation tool. We are a true market differentiator, and HR leaders feel that immediately when they see what we do.
Your job is to get us in the room. You'll work side-by-side with our Head of Sales, developing your craft, building real relationships at the executive level, and laying the groundwork for a trajectory into a full closing role. We're looking for someone who is hungry, sharp, and ready to bet on themselves.
This role is intentionally designed as a springboard. High performers who master the BDR function (building pipeline, earning executive trust, and demonstrating a closing mentality) will have a direct, supported path into a full Account Executive role. We don't just talk about growth, we build it into the plan from day one. Your bonus structure reflects your performance, and your ceiling reflects your ambition.
What'You'll Do:
Key Responsibilities
- Drive outbound prospecting to generate net new pipeline: cold calls, emails, Linked In, and creative outreach that gets responses.
- Qualify leads and identify the right organizations and decision-makers that fit LaborIQ's ideal customer profile.
- Book high-quality discovery meetings with CHROs, VPs of People, and senior HR leaders for the Head of Sales.
- Hold your own in conversations with senior executives — you represent LaborIQ, and first impressions matter.
- Partner closely with the Head of Sales to sharpen your approach, messaging, and instincts every single week.
- Develop a deep, confident command of LaborIQ's product, competitive advantages, and the impact it has on organizations.
- Keep CRM records accurate and up to date. Your pipeline is your business, treat it that way.
We care far more about who you are than what your resume says. Here's what matters to us:
- You have 1–3 years of experience in a BDR, SDR, sales, recruiting, or client-facing role, and you've been itching to do more.
- You have an unmistakable drive; you don't wait to be told where to find opportunities, you go find them.
- You can hold a credible, intelligent conversation with a CHRO or VP without flinching — poise and polish matter here.
- You're coachable to your core — you take feedback, apply it immediately, and ask for more.
- You're intellectually curious and pick up new concepts quickly. LaborIQ's value proposition is nuanced, and you'll need to own it.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred; what counts most is your mindset and track record of effort.
- Engage in the Culture
- Communicate Openly
- Own the Outcomes
- Adapt to the Situation
- Stretch Constantly
- Honor Commitments
- Seek what is Best for LaborIQ
