Outside Sales Representative – Residential Construction (B2B)

Dallas, TX (Field-Based / Local Market Required)

We’re partnering with an established residential building-products manufacturer to hire an Outside Sales Representative for the Dallas market.

This is a true hunter role focused on developing new business with custom home builders, architects, designers, and other construction contacts. Approximately 80% of the role is field-based, with autonomy to manage your own schedule.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new builder and construction accounts
• Build and grow the Dallas territory from the ground up
• Use building-permit data to identify opportunities
• Conduct customer meetings and residential jobsite visits
• Quote and recommend products
• Track opportunities in Microsoft D365
• Review plans, take measurements, and support material takeoffs
• Coordinate with builders and installation teams
• Maintain relationships and capture repeat business

Qualifications

• 3+ years of B2B outside hunting sales experience
• Proven success building and growing a territory
• Comfortable spending approximately 80% of the week in the field
• Comfortable working around active residential construction jobsites
• Strong consultative-selling, organization, and follow-up skills
• Experience using CRM and Microsoft Office tools
• Reliable vehicle; truck or SUV preferred
• Currently based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area

Preferred:

• Experience selling to builders, contractors, architects, or designers
• Construction, equipment, manufacturing, or building-products background
• Experience reading plans or technical drawings

Training

• One week of corporate training in Jacksonville, Florida
• Approximately two weeks of field training in Dallas
