Director of Sales | Western Region $175,000 base / $250,000 OTE / 30% performance bonus with accelerators

This one is looking for a coach who wants to take a good team and make it great.

Our client is an established industrial service and material handling business with a strong western footprint across Texas, Arizona, and California. They are family-owned, not private equity. They are not chasing a turnaround. They are looking for a sales leader who wants to ride along with reps, coach in the field, run a clean weekly cadence, and push a strong region toward its ceiling.

• Service-led revenue model. Inspection contracts open the door. Repair work, parts, and equipment pull through the inspection findings. 93-94% of all work orders are tied to a service agreement. If you have sold that motion, you will recognize the rhythm immediately.
• Established team of 10 to 11 Territory Sales Representatives across the western region. Mix of newer reps and reps with five-plus years in territory.
• Tenured branch leadership with deep technical experience across the West. You will have real operational partners across the region.
• Direct, weekly engagement with the executive team. Flat organization where leadership knows the territories and knows the customers.
• Family-owned, multi-generational business. One of the last national players in the industry that is not private equity controlled.
• Real growth runway. Aggressive multi-year plan and a CRO who is investing in upgrading the commercial engine.

• Regional service revenue attainment and the inspection contract base across the West.
• Weekly pipeline scrubs, activity reviews, and an honest forecast rolled up to the CRO.
• Field ride-alongs with reps. Real-time, specific coaching. Written improvement plans when needed.
• Strategic account engagement alongside the TSR. Customer business reviews on-site.
• CRM discipline and forecasting hygiene at the rep level. Net Suite is the system of record.

The CRO has personally run this region for the last year and has covered an open territory in Fort Worth during that time. Your first 90 days will include hands‑on territory coverage in Fort Worth alongside your regional director responsibilities. You will learn the business the way the CRO learned it: in the field, with the customers, doing the work. This is how the company builds credibility and respect across the sales floor.

• 7 to 10 years of service-related sales management with documented direct-report leadership.
• Forecasting and pipeline discipline. CRM proficiency, Net Suite preferred or Salesforce equivalent.
• Player-coach mindset. You quote alongside reps when needed. You work uncovered territory when there is a gap. You do not wait for someone else to handle it.
• Industrial B2B sales background. Credibility on plant floors, in refineries, in chemical plants, and in industrial facilities.
• Comfort with 60 to 75 percent regional travel. Field warrior, not work-from-home.
