As our Vehicle Acquisition Specialist, you'll play a critical role in keeping our inventory strong by purchasing quality pre-owned vehicles directly from customers. - Purchase quality pre-owned vehicles directly from customers through dealership appointments, service drive opportunities, internet leads, phone inquiries, and walk-in traffic
- Build trust and establish rapport with customers by providing a transparent, professional, and pressure-free appraisal experience
- Conduct vehicle walkarounds and accurately evaluate vehicle condition, history, and market value
- Explain the appraisal process clearly and confidently while presenting competitive offers
- Utilize appraisal software, vehicle history reports, auction data, and market research to determine vehicle values
- Negotiate vehicle purchases while maintaining dealership profitability and delivering an exceptional customer experience
- Partner closely with the Sales, Service, and Management teams to identify acquisition opportunities
- Follow up promptly with customers who have received appraisals to maximize vehicle purchase opportunities
- Maintain accurate customer information and follow-up activity within the dealership CRM
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly vehicle acquisition goals
- Stay current on market trends, wholesale values, and inventory demands
- Represent Goodson Acura with professionalism and integrity throughout every customer interaction
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Previous automotive sales, vehicle acquisition, appraisal, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Comfortable using dealership software, CRM systems, appraisal tools, and Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- High school diploma or GED required
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
