Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Regional Customer Engagement Strategy; elevate customer engagement to peak excellence.
- Guide the regional team to surpass organizational goals; oversee and communicate KPIs; take decisive action on underperformance and replicate successes.
- Build best-in-class, diverse teams via talent acquisition, development, and succession planning.
- Deliver region sales targets in collaboration with national teams; establish accountability cadence for KPIs and performance.
- Create/execute/regional business plan focused on customer needs to enhance customer experience and increase product demand across HCPs, key accounts, and Systems of Care (SoC).
- Collaborate with Marketing, Medical, Patient Services, and Market Access; act as part of national leadership team.
- Ensure conduct aligns with ethics and relevant policies; promote integrity and professionalism.
- Optimize regional budget allocation using face-to-face and Omni Channel resources.
- Support team development through coaching and improvement plans; encourage idea-sharing, experimentation, and learning from failure.
- Use analytics platforms for decision-making and to identify risk/opportunity.
- Bachelor’s degree (4-year).
- 10+ years in commercial pharma/biotech/healthcare or similar; field leadership and customer engagement required.
- 5+ years as a first-line sales manager; critical thinking and enterprise attitude.
- Experience managing field organizations through change/innovation/growth (highly valued).
- Proven sales leadership in matrixed, multi-regional environments.
- Track record attracting/developing/retaining diverse talent; cross-functional leadership.
- Experience building business/incentive plans; operational, financial, and analytical skills.
- Reside within region or reasonable commuting distance to a metro airport; travel 60–80%; valid driver’s license.
- Second-line sales manager leadership.
- Cross-functional experience (market access, reimbursement, account management) and payer landscape/buy-and-bill/specialty pharmacy knowledge.
- Driving is essential: must have a fully valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
- expected salary range $204,400–$379,600; performance cash incentive; possible annual equity; health/life/disability, 401(k) match, and time off (vacation/personal days/holidays/other leaves).
