The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to support the continued growth of a leading automation business within the US airport market. This is an exciting opportunity for an established sales professional with strong experience in Airport Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) to take responsibility for developing new business, building long-term customer relationships and driving revenue growth. Working within a highly technical and solutions-led environment, you will identify new opportunities, engage with customers throughout the sales lifecycle and present solutions that can incorporate automation hardware, software and associated services.

The successful candidate will combine a strong commercial track record with an established network within the airport/BHS industry and the ability to develop opportunities from initial engagement through to contract award.

As Sales Manager, you will:

• Identify and develop new customers, leads and commercial opportunities within the market.
• Generate new business through networking, direct customer engagement, market research and proactive business development.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed agreed revenue targets.
• Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers and key industry stakeholders.
• Deliver compelling product, service and solution presentations to prospective customers.
• Clearly communicate the value proposition and competitive advantages of the companys solutions.
• Manage customer enquiries, requirements and commercial concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Work towards monthly, quarterly and annual sales objectives.
• Monitor industry developments, competitor activity and wider market conditions.
• Provide management with insight into emerging customer requirements and market opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activity, customer engagement, presentations and closed opportunities.
• Produce regular sales forecasts and performance reports.
• Collaborate with engineering and other cross-functional teams to support customer requirements and successful project delivery.

• We are looking for an experienced sales professional who can demonstrate:
• 5-10 years experience within Baggage Handling Systems for airports.
• A proven sales track record supported by documented commercial achievements.
• An established and active network of relevant industry contacts.
• Experience developing new business and managing customer relationships.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of contractual and commercial matters.
• Excellent negotiation, influencing and presentation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a wider team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to adapt to evolving technologies, customer requirements and industry standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

• A Bachelors degree in Engineering is required.
• Degrees specialising in Automation, Robotics, Logistics or Manufacturing would be particularly advantageous.

• Hold a valid drivers licence.
• Be authorised to work in the United States.
• Be willing and able to travel as required, including extended business trips.
