Under the supervision of the General Manager of Sales, the associate will begin an extended sales training program at the Dallas headquarters location.
The program will cover in depth review of product manufacturing processes, end use market segments, value selling approaches and understanding Oxy Chem’s sales process. The associate will interact with all internal departments that are critical to success in the sales organization. Training will also include joint travel with the sales regions to shadow sales professionals in their daily account coverage.
After completing the Oxy Chem training program (min. 6 months in Dallas) the Sales Associate will be promoted based on readiness to one of Oxy Chem’s established regional sales territories within the U.S. market.
Essential
Job Duties
* Develop a thorough knowledge of Oxy Chem’s product line, targeted applications and market trends that impact the sales cycle.
* Develop and build multifunctional relationships with all departments at Dallas headquarters to enhance support and performance in field sales.
* Use product knowledge and sales process skills to manage a territory with expected proficiency in early career sales with oversight from a Regional Manager.
* Recognize, anticipate, and solve customer problems resulting in business opportunities and profitable growth.
* Understand and proactively analyze customer product and service needs and coordinate with Oxy Chem’s resources (supply chain, technical service, logistics, etc.) to solve those needs.
* Develop and implement territory and account planning skills to manage an entry level role in a multi-million-dollar sales geography.
* Use value added selling techniques to differentiate Oxy Chem from its competitors and deliver premium value to the corporation versus general market returns.
* Develop, analyze and communicate broad competitive intelligence for the territory and market segment(s) assigned.
* Position requires frequent travel away from home, entertainment and regional meeting attendance
Qualifications
* B.S. degree in Sales Management, Marketing, Business Management or Engineering degree with a business emphasis Motivated self-starter with a high degree of initiative and strong critical thinking skills
* Ability to work independently, oversee multiple assignments and meet short term deadlines
* Strong leadership skills
* Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Willingness to relocate in the future
* Must maintain minimum cumulative 2.85 GPA on a 4.0 scale
* Graduation date between December 2026 – May 2027
