Employment Opportunity

At Inter-Con we provide customized security solutions, aiming for the right officer in the right place at the right time. Our Armed Security Officer role supports critical facilities and infrastructure, public venues needing an enhanced presence, and personal protective services. You will be trained by qualified firearms instructors in safe weapons handling and marksmanship. You are an integral part of the range of specialized security services Inter-Con provides daily.

Specific Requirements - Each candidate must have achieved at least ONE of the following to qualify:

• Military service that included law enforcement or security duties or support in a combat zone
• Eight years' active service in any military branch
• Bachelor's degree in law enforcement or criminal justice
• Associate degree in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
• Graduation from a certified public safety academy in law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighting
• Inter-Con is seeking motivated individuals to fill the role of an Armed Security Officer

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct functional checks of all equipment and systems used on this post upon assuming duties. Report equipment malfunctions or deficiencies following established procedures.
• Perform interior and exterior patrols of designated buildings throughout the shift.
• Patrol the complex, parking areas, garages, and related facilities.
• Interior patrols include random foot patrols of work areas; inspect stairwells, work areas, restrooms, lobbies, and entrances.
• Interact verbally with employees during rounds to convey active security operations.
• Remain alert for unusual, suspicious, or unauthorized activity in the office complex.
• Monitor personnel traffic entering, exiting, and inside buildings.
• Monitor activities in main building lobbies to maintain safety and security of work areas.
• Respond to emergencies involving the office complex.
