Data Science Manager, IT Specialist
Texas Instruments is seeking a Security Manager who will be responsible for the administrative supervision and operational leadership within the physical security organization.
The Security Manager oversees physical security operations, manages contract guard forces, and leads security infrastructure and technology projects. They develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards to protect people, assets, facilities, and operations while ensuring compliance with corporate requirements and regulatory obligations.
Core Responsibilities- Lead day‑to‑day physical security operations including access control, video surveillance, alarm systems, visitor management, key control, and perimeter security
- Lead and develop security personnel through coaching, performance management, and mentorship; foster a high‑performing culture focused on accountability, professional growth, and operational excellence
- Develop and execute strategic security initiatives aligned with organizational priorities
- Manage contract guard force performance, staffing levels, training standards, post orders, and daily supervision
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines
- Conduct security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses; develop mitigation plans and track corrective actions
- Coordinate emergency response activities and support crisis management and business continuity programs
- Serve as subject matter expert for physical security systems including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and monitoring platforms
- Lead security infrastructure and technology projects from concept through commissioning, including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, vendor coordination, testing, and hand‑off to operations
- Participate in security design reviews for new construction and renovation projects to ensure layered security principles are embedded early
- Manage third‑party vendors and integrators, including development of SOWs, SLAs, KPIs, performance reviews, and invoice validation
- Maintain audit readiness and ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations
- Develop and track security metrics including incident trends, response times, guard performance, system uptime, and project milestones
- Provide executive‑ready reporting and briefings on security risks, incidents, and program performance
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement process enhancements to mature the security program
- Promote a culture of safety, vigilance, professionalism, and accountability
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, homeland security, intelligence management, risk management, business administration, public administration, or related fields
- 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate security, law enforcement, or military
- 3 years of experience managing contract guard services and third‑party vendors
- Experience supporting complex or critical operational environments (manufacturing, data centers, logistics, R&D, corporate campuses, or similar)
- Experience participating in security design reviews for new construction or major renovations
- Strong vendor management experience including SOW development, SLA/KPI oversight, budgeting, and performance audits
- Experience building dashboards, metrics, and executive‑level reporting
- Demonstrated ability to drive program maturity and continuous improvement initiatives
- Demonstrated experience leading security‑related projects (e.g., access control, CCTV, perimeter security, system upgrades, or construction support)
- Experience conducting investigations and managing incident response
- Experience developing and implementing SOPs, post orders, and escalation protocols
- Willing and able to be responsive during nights, weekends, and holidays as incidents and operations dictate
- Strong cross‑functional partnership experience with Facilities, ESH&S, HR, Legal, and IT
- Working knowledge of modern physical security systems, risk assessment methodologies, and security operations best practices
- Professional certification such as CPP, PSP, PMP, or equivalent
