** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.

+ Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and reporting observations through proper channels.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, exhibit areas, public spaces, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.

+ Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with directional guidance and crowd management, and support orderly entry and exit during daily operations and special events.

+ Observe the location for security-related and/or maintenance-related concerns, report hazards or suspicious activity, and follow site protocols when addressing alarms, disturbances, or policy violations.

* Minimum Requirements:

*
* + Be at least 21 years of age.

+ Possess a minimum of 5 years of security-related experience.

+ Possess 4 or more years of military or law enforcement experience or a criminal justice degree.

+ A guard card and/or license is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
