** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a cultural institution setting.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, exhibit spaces, public areas, entry points, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.

+ Monitor visitor access, observe crowd activity during events and daily operations, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.

+ Support closing and opening procedures, assist with directional information for guests, and maintain an attentive presence that helps to promote a professional environment.

* Minimum Requirements:

*
* + A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ A minimum of 5 or more years of security-related experience is required.

+ A minimum of 4 or more years of military or law enforcement experience, or a degree in criminal justice, is required.

+ A guard card or license is preferred.

+ Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
