Security Officer

The Security Officer follows the safety and security department protocols, ensuring that all students and staff enjoy a safe and secure school campus.

High-level decision-making regarding day-to-day operations to keep the school campus safe. Works independently and with the Security Team on problem resolution as needed.

• Campus Patrol:
  Conduct regular and random patrols of the campus, including classrooms, playgrounds, parking areas, and other facilities to ensure the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors.
• Access Control:
  Monitor entry and exit points to prevent unauthorized access.
• Emergency Response:
  Serve as a first responder to any emergencies or incidents on campus. Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services as necessary under the direction of the Director of Safety and Security.
• Provide first aid and CPR until professional medical assistance arrives.
• Surveillance:
  Operate and monitor security cameras and alarm systems. Conduct regular checks to ensure all security equipment is functional and report any malfunctions for immediate repair.
• Safety Drills:
  Assist in the development and implementation of safety protocols and emergency evacuation drills. Educate students and staff on security procedures.
• Incident Reporting:
  Maintain accurate and detailed security logs and reports. Document any security breaches, unusual occurrences, or safety hazards.
• Communication:
  Serve as a point of contact for security concerns for students, staff, and parents. Communicate effectively with all members of the school community.
• Contribute to the prevention of accidents and injuries by monitoring compliance with safety rules and addressing reported accidents and injuries immediately.

• Attends school functions/events.
• Other tasks as assigned by the Director of Safety and Security or Head of School.
