About the Role

The Assistant Director of Aviation Security supports JSXs day-to-day security operations and partners closely with the Director, Aviation Security across security assessments, investigations, regulatory compliance, and relationships with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), law enforcement, and other government and industry partners.

This role is designed to progressively assume greater ownership of JSXs aviation security program. Youll work alongside the Director to develop a deep understanding of existing programs, regulatory relationships, open matters, and operational priorities while becoming a trusted secondary point of contact for regulators and internal stakeholders. As the transition progresses, youll take on increasing Director-level responsibilities to help ensure continuity of JSXs security programs and leadership.

This is an in-person role based at JSX Headquarters in Dallas, TX.

A Day in the Life

In this role, you’ll:

  • Partner with the Director of Aviation Security on security-related functions, assuming progressively greater ownership as the leadership transition advances.
  • Work directly with Crew members, inspectors, regulators, law enforcement, airports, and other federal, state, and local agency partners.
  • Support the supervision, development, direction, and evaluation of Security team members.
  • Serve as, or support, the Alternate Aircraft Operator Security Coordinator (AOSC), with the intent of assuming the designation as part of the transition.
  • Learn, maintain, and support corporate security manuals, internal security resources, Security Directives, and threat information relevant to JSX operations.
  • Support compliance with passenger and Crew member screening and vetting requirements, watchlists, customs and immigration vetting, and other applicable security regulations.
  • Monitor and analyze security, intelligence, counterintelligence, and insider threat programs.
  • Partner with the Director on federal security matters, developing relationships with regulators, airports, and agency counterparts in preparation for assuming greater ownership of those relationships.
  • Support the development of proposals, briefings, and presentations for federal agencies and JSX executive leadership.
  • Provide guidance on security content incorporated into initial and recurrent training programs across the organization.
  • Support administration of the companys security clearance program, including Crew member screening, documentation, regulatory compliance, and training coordination.
  • Participate as a member of the Emergency Response Team when required by security needs.
  • Share on-call responsibility for security-related operational issues involving internal stakeholders, TSA, DHS, FBI, law enforcement, and other government entities, building toward full 24/7 ownership.
  • Support and lead security briefings for Crew members and leadership as assigned.
  • Assist with and respond to Letters of Investigation and other security-related regulatory correspondence, including current open matters.
  • Support required annual audits for TSA security programs, including CASS, KCM, and CHRC.
