Job Summary: The commercial vehicle technician performs maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on various makes and models of light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance activities including installation, repair, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance.
• Conduct repairs efficiently, communicating with the Service Writer and Parts team.
• Provide data for work orders, invoices, and activity reports.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Demonstrate integrity and teamwork, sharing knowledge and cross-training.

Knowledge & Skills:

• At least 1 year of automotive/truck maintenance and repair experience or vocational training.
• Proficiency in diagnosis and repair of vehicles and equipment.
• Knowledge of engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, and air systems.
• Experience with automotive transmissions is a plus.
• Understanding of safety procedures.
• Effective communication skills and ability to read technical information.

Experience & Education:

• Minimum 1 year of vehicle maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
• ASE certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, sit, walk, and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and assisting with 100 pounds.
• Must pass pre-employment screening.
