Job Summary
$28 - $32 per hour depending on experience with a $60 trip charge.
Responsibilities- Repair and adjust residential and light commercial doors
- Fix common issues such as:
- Sticking or dragging doors
- Misaligned hinges
- Loose or damaged hardware
- Latch and strike alignment
- Weatherstripping replacement
- Threshold adjustments
- Install or replace:
- Hinges
- Doorknobs and levers
- Deadbolts
- Door closers (basic surface-mounted)
- Door stops and accessories
- Perform minor carpentry related to door frames and trim
- Troubleshoot and recommend repair vs. replacement
- Complete basic handyman tasks as needed (optional based on your scope)
- Maintain accurate notes on work performed and materials used
- Communicate clearly with dispatch regarding job status and completion
- Follow all safety and property protection procedures
- Ability to diagnose and fix common door issues
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and work on ladders
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Must pass background check for client access
- Experience with light commercial doors (storefront adjustments, closers)
- Basic locksmithing skills (not required)
- Ability to replace door slabs or repair frames
- Experience with minor drywall or trim repair
