Telecommunication Field Installation Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a Telecommunication Field Installation Technician to become an integral part of our team! You will Install and build data communication systems as well as identify areas of improvement to increase deployment efficiency.

Contract role with heavy travel across the United States - All Expenses paid

Responsibilities:

• Supervise installation and maintenance of communication systems
• Rack and Stack Telecommunication equipment
• Run Copper/Fiber
• Work DC power including sewing/stitching of cables
• Perform Administrative paperwork to open/close jobs
• Support remote testers facing customer ensuring prompt professional communication
• Perform and understand customer practices for installing gear including specific grounding requirements.
• Provide training and support to telecommunications personnel
• Investigate customer issues and design appropriate solutions
• Order and maintain inventory stock supplies

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in telecommunications as an installer. Includes DATA/TELEPHONY
• Familiarity with telecommunications equipment
• Ciena 6500 Installation experience is a plus
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
