SLAC is a well‑established, service‑focused commercial HVAC company proudly serving the DFW area for over 6 years. We specialize exclusively in commercial work—from mini‑splits and packaged units to large centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, boilers, RTUs, and everything in between. We do not handle new construction; our focus is on high‑quality service, repairs, preventative maintenance, and equipment replacements.
We currently maintain service contracts for over 200 buildings across the metroplex and respond to service calls for countless additional clients. All our growth has come organically through word‑of‑mouth and long‑standing customer relationships—no advertising or website needed. We’re a stable, relationship‑driven company looking to add experienced talent to help us continue delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls on commercial HVAC equipment, including chillers, cooling towers, boilers, rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, pumps, VAVs, AHUs, and related controls.
- Specialize in chiller service: including teardowns, rebuilds, refrigerant handling, compressor work, and major maintenance (e.g., 10‑year inspections on centrifugal chillers).
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues (DDC/BMS systems, variable frequency drives, pneumatic/electric controls).
- Respond to emergency service calls and provide timely, high‑quality repairs to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate service records, work orders, reports, and inventory of parts.
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in commercial/industrial HVAC service and repair.
- Proven expertise with chillers (centrifugal, screw, reciprocating, air‑cooled and water‑cooled) – experience with brands like Carrier, Trane, York, Daikin preferred.
- EPA Universal Certification (Section 608) required; additional low‑pressure (Type III) certification a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- High school diploma or GED; trade school certificate or HVAC program completion preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, chilled water applications, and building management systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and customer service skills.
