Job Summary

The position involves performing advanced diagnostic, repair, and maintenance tasks on complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, ensuring optimal vehicle performance and safety. Responsibilities
  • Engine Diagnosis and Repair: Diagnose and repair a range of engine types, including diesel, electric, and hydrogen fuel cell engines, utilizing diagnostic tools to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and long‑term durability.
  • Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Serve as a technical resource for team members, providing guidance on diagnostics and repair procedures, enhancing team skills and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and Repair Engine and Body Accessories: Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on heating and air conditioning systems, electrical components, and suspension, braking, and steering systems.
  • Electrical and Pneumatic System Maintenance: Diagnose and repair electrical systems, maintain and service pneumatic valves, control cables, and linkages.
  • Routine and General Maintenance Tasks: Perform routine lubrication tasks, change transmission fluid and filters, check differential fluid, and replace tires.
  • Advanced Repairs and Replacements: Repair or replace critical components like radiators, water pumps, hoses, and more.
  • Glass Installations and Body Repairs: Assist in glass installations and perform basic body repairs.
Qualifications
  • - years of experience in automotive, diesel, or related fields, with preferred knowledge of engine, driveline, and electrical systems.
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Air and Passenger endorsements is preferred but not required.
  • High-Voltage (HV) Safety Certification and HV Maintenance/Repair Training are highly desired for work on hybrid and electric vehicles.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic tools like Vansco, Cummins INSITE, and other systems.
  • Experience with precision tools such as hydraulic presses, pullers, and manometers.
  • Familiarity with fleet and data management software like Oracle and Fleetio.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Outlook.
Physical Activity/Requirements
  • Strength and Endurance: Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to pounds regularly and occasionally up to pounds with assistance.
  • Mobility and Dexterity: Must have the physical ability to climb ladders, work on elevated surfaces, and access tight or confined spaces.
  • Standing and Movement: Must be able to stand, walk, and work on concrete surfaces for extended periods of time.
  • Visual and Hearing Acuity: Adequate visual ability to read diagnostic screens and inspect parts; hearing capability to detect unusual vehicle noises.
  • Environmental Factors: Work may be performed in varying conditions, including exposure to loud noises, vibrations, dust, fumes, and temperature fluctuations.
