Job Description & How to Apply Below
Resident Field Mechanic - Heavy Equipment (Dallas Area)

$35-$45/hr + Service Truck + Full Benefits

If you'd rather be out fixing big iron than stuck in a shop all day, keep reading.

We're hiring a resident field mechanic based in the Dallas area to work on some seriously heavy-duty industrial equipment - think massive wood grinders and chippers that don't quit. This isn't light-duty wrenching. It's real work, with real machines, out in the field.

What the job looks like
  • You'll be out on job sites handling diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on large industrial equipment
  • Expect a mix of hydraulics, electrical, and pneumatics (not much engine teardown work)
  • Engines are primarily Caterpillar - solid, reliable, and familiar if you've been around heavy gear
  • Monday-Friday role, but there's regular travel (some overnight, occasional international - passport helps)
  • You'll start with 2 weeks of paid training in Minnesota, then ride along with a seasoned tech until you're up to speed
What you're working with
  • Fully outfitted service truck
  • A tight team - about 120 employees total, no corporate nonsense
  • Equipment that's built in-house, so you're not guessing or chasing parts
What you'll get
  • $35-$45/hr depending on experience
  • Employee-owned company (ESOP) - you've got a stake in the game
  • 401k + solid benefits
  • Steady work, good people, and machines that actually challenge you
What they're looking for
  • Strong background in heavy equipment, ag, diesel, or similar
  • Comfortable with hydraulics and electrical troubleshooting
  • Someone who doesn't mind travel and working independently
  • CDL B is a big plus (or willingness to get it)
  • Able to handle field work - this isn't a clean shop environment
Bottom line

If you're the kind of mechanic who likes solving problems in the field, working on big equipment, and not answering to a clipboard all day - this is a solid gig.
