You will perform the installation of Data One’s Layer 1 infrastructure solutions that transcend our client’s expectations as a Level 2 or 3 Technician.

Provides installation services for power and data cabling jobs as assigned. May act as a lead on installations or as part of a crew on projects where other technicians are functioning as the lead.

• Extensive experience with installation processes and procedures
• Good working relationship with personnel across all levels of the organization
• Strong technical knowledge of Cabling Operations
• Strong problem-solving capabilities

• Minimum of 1-1/2 years’ experience or documented equivalent proficiency, as determined by the Installation Supplier
• Basic knowledge of Telcordia Standards
• Adding or removing non-powered or passive equipment
• Adding or removing wiring and connections on non-working equipment only and switchboard cable
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience or equivalent, as determined by the Installation supplier, in the equipment system/environment being worked on
• Perform work operations independently, including:
• Adding or removing common systems equipment/hardware
• Adding or removing wiring and connections on non-working equipment
• Leading verification
• Analyzing job specifications and drawings
• Providing work assignments to crew
• Preparing installation forms
• Resolving job specification and drawing problems
• Correcting office record drawings
• Conducting in-process and final quality inspections
• Communicating effectively with customers throughout the job
• Serving as the in-charge person on jobs without a Level 4 supervisor
• Work in raised-floor environments, on ladders, and lift equipment up to 50 lbs or more
• Work in small crawl spaces, shaft ways, manholes, outside trenches, or on rooftops as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all work areas

Hours may vary, including night shifts. Overtime and travel required as necessary.

$20.00 – $30.00 per hour. Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, background check, and drug screening required.
