OVERVIEW
Manuel Diaz Law Firm, PC. is seeking a dynamic, self‑starting individual with vision, initiative, and a demonstrated commitment to serve as a Facilities/Maintenance Technician.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPReports to the Facilities Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESFacilities/Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of skilled and semi‑skilled tasks to maintain and repair the office(s) and equipment to ensure the proper functioning and safety of the facility, often by completing routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and responding to repair requests as needed. Coordination with outside contractors for larger projects may be conducted.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform routine inspections of facilities and fixtures.
- Identify and report maintenance issues.
- Complete minor repairs to doors, windows, hardware, and furniture.
- Paint and patch walls and ceilings.
- Perform minor carpentry repairs like patching drywall, replacing trim, fixing doors, and cabinets.
- Maintain and replace light bulbs.
- Regularly inspect and service building systems such as fire alarms, sprinklers, and elevators.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical issues.
- Check and adjust plumbing fixtures, unclog drains.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities.
- Respond to work orders and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Prioritize maintenance tasks based on urgency.
- Coordinate with outside contractors for complex repairs.
- Our firm has offices throughout the DFW Metroplex and an office in San Antonio, therefore, occasional travel may be required.
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills.
- Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor.
- Ability and willingness to travel to other firm office locations as needed.
