We are actively seeking an experienced Mechanical Welding Superintendent to lead field welding operations across commercial and industrial projects throughout North Texas. This role is ideal for highly skilled welders with strong leadership experience who are ready to oversee crews, enforce quality standards, coordinate field operations, and take full ownership of welding performance across multiple job sites.

In this role, you will oversee and support welding crews on commercial and industrial projects, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications. Responsibilities include coordinating daily field operations, mentoring welders, reviewing weld quality, interpreting blueprints and weld maps, supporting manpower planning, resolving field issues, enforcing safety standards, and working closely with project managers and leadership teams to maintain productivity and project timelines.

You will serve as the primary field welding leader, ensuring H&G's reputation for craftsmanship and technical excellence is upheld on every project.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a highly experienced welding professional with strong leadership capabilities, deep technical expertise, and the ability to lead crews while maintaining exceptional standards of quality and safety. Ideal candidates are dependable, technically advanced, and committed to mentoring others while delivering superior field performance.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 10+ years of welding experience
  • At least 5+ years in a foreman, superintendent, or leadership role
  • Strong commercial and/or industrial pipe welding experience
  • Required 6G certification
  • Advanced stick (ARC) and MIG welding expertise
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld maps, and specifications
  • Strong weld quality control and field oversight capabilities
  • Experience leading crews and coordinating manpower
  • Safety‑first leadership approach
  • Equipment operation and jobsite coordination experience
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
Preferred
  • Stainless steel welding experience
  • Additional certifications or technical trade training
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license with insurable driving history
  • Strong professionalism, leadership, and accountability
