Telecommunications Lead Installer – Level IV

The Telecommunications Lead Installer – Level IV will provide detailed installation, re‑configuration/integration, removal, and maintenance of Central Office and Data Center equipment which includes Transmission, Power, Infrastructure and Fiber systems with minimum supervision. This role will require supervision of assigned crew members and their performance.

Core Responsibilities
  • Master the installation skills per Telco Standard TP76300 and perform all duties of an Installer Level 4 with high competence and accuracy as a Working Lead with assigned team members.
  • Install equipment across AC/DC power systems, low/high‑density fiber, Central Office Infrastructure, and supervisory/alarm systems.
  • Use transport equipment such as Ciena, Fujitsu, Cisco, Nortel, Nokia, DELL, Juniper, etc.
  • Apply fiber installation standards and procedures.
  • Lead installation projects successfully.
  • Read and follow Method of Procedures, order specifications, floor plans, and wiring documentation.
  • Accurately document all required information.
  • Interface with customers, vendors, and internal staff during testing, turn‑up, and integration.
  • Supervise lower‑level installers/technicians in basic installation and testing requirements.
  • Understand and follow company policies, safety procedures, paperwork, and administrative requirements.
  • Review subordinate time and expense documentation for accuracy.
  • Keep installation documents updated per system requirements.
  • Resolve project related issues using defined processes.
  • Generate MOPs, high‑risk activity reports, work schedules, test records, and project completion reports.
  • Perform in‑process and final quality audits to meet or exceed industry and customer standards.
Technical and

Physical Requirements

Travel is required within your home region and across the United States; international travel may be required. All travel will be paid by the employer. Physical requirements include standing, walking, climbing ladders, and crawling in tight spaces; vertical lifting up to 50 lbs. Candidates must comply with OSHA Standards and be able to work varied shifts.

Core Experience
  • Minimum 8+ years installation experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • High‑school diploma with at least two years of technical schooling or equivalent experience.
  • Leadership experience required.
  • Proficient laptop computer skills and experience with standard applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license; background check clearance and insurance. Valid passport is a plus.

Base Pay Range: $68,000 – $80,000 USD.
