Tool Service Technician

Tool Service Technician (Service Tech I) at United Rentals seeks a team player to perform maintenance and repair tasks on specialty tools and rental equipment in a safe and professional manner.

• Perform maintenance checks on rental equipment before and after use
• Report machine condition to Management
• Load and unload equipment while complying with DOT regulations for height, width and weight
• Clean all tools and prepare new equipment for rent or sale
• Demonstrate tools and equipment to customers
• Perform minor repairs of rental equipment and tools, including electrical, calibration, certification, and tagging of tools for rental ready status
• Provide assistance to higher level technicians as needed
• Assist with pick‑up and delivery of equipment and parts
• Other duties assigned as needed

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Basic understanding of electrical testing equipment
• Good mechanical aptitude including basic knowledge of tools
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures
