Role Description

This full-time, on-site Maintenance Engineer role is based at HALL Arts Hotel in Dallas, TX. The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance on hotel equipment, systems, and guest rooms to ensure a safe, comfortable, and well‑maintained environment. Daily tasks include inspecting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems; responding promptly to maintenance requests; troubleshooting equipment issues; and completing work orders accurately.

The Maintenance Engineer also helps maintain compliance with safety standards, keeps tools and work areas organized, and collaborates with other departments to support smooth hotel operations and an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications
  • Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance, Maintenance Engineering, and Maintenance & Repair for hospitality or commercial facilities.
  • Experience with Preventive Maintenance programs.
  • Working knowledge of Electrical Maintenance, including basic troubleshooting and repair of lighting, panels, and related systems.
  • Familiarity with building systems (HVAC, plumbing, life safety) and ability to follow technical manuals, diagrams, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment, work on feet for extended periods, and perform tasks safely using appropriate tools and PPE.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach when working with hotel teams, guests, and external vendors.
  • Previous maintenance experience in a hotel, residential, or commercial building setting preferred; technical or vocational training is a plus.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel operations.
