HVAC Technician Smart Care

RWC is seeking a detail-oriented HVAC technician to install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will be skilled in cleaning, adjusting, and repairing these systems. You will also guide and advise customers in selecting the most suitable air quality systems to meet their needs. Your responsibilities will encompass everything from installation to the end-of-life management of air quality systems, including performing maintenance, warranty services, and emergency repairs.
To succeed in this role, your top priorities must be customer satisfaction, safety, and comfort. Ideal candidates should be patient and possess excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills.
HVAC Technician Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
- Identify maintenance risks associated with equipment.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems.
- Clean, adjust, and repair systems, and perform warranty services.
- Execute emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
- Provide technical direction and on-the-job training.
- Maintain daily logs and records of all maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with appliance standards and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Follow service standards, work instructions, and customer requirements.
- Assist with customer inquiries.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience as an HVAC technician, with a willingness to pursue further education in the HVAC field.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
- Working knowledge of boiler systems.
- Proficiency in balancing air and water treatment systems in accordance with HVAC protocols.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read schematics and work plans.
- Willingness to work after hours, on weekends, and during public holidays with short or no notice.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
