The Energy Management Systems (EMS) Installation Technician is responsible for installing, programming, testing, calibrating, operating, and repairing control systems, as well as the related software, hardware, and equipment, to ensure they are operating properly and safely. The EMS Installation Technician must have the ability to follow and give instructions, demonstrate a strong concern for safety, and adhere to all company policies while promoting them to others.

This role must be self-motivated, a team player, have a positive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, a proven attendance record, and a keen mechanical aptitude.

• Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs control systems and equipment
• Calibrates machine controllers and automation equipment
• Monitors machine readings to ensure factors such as temperature and pressure remain within acceptable ranges
• Installs control systems, including HVAC and refrigeration control systems
• Reads blueprints and wiring schematics, and interprets drawings and specifications
• Maintains a workflow schedule to ensure productivity objectives are met
• Tests control systems and related equipment
• Attends required safety training, follows all safety standards, and ensures safety is paramount on all job sites
• Communicates orally and in written reports to crew leaders, supervisors, operations, and other craft personnel
• The majority of work requires out-of-town travel, leaving Monday and returning Friday
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Completes assigned tasks in a safe, accurate, thorough, and alert manner
• Upholds Company policies and procedures
• Works in a professional manner with managers, supervisors, coworkers, customers, and the public
• Other related job duties as assigned
