PositionSeasoned Data Center HVAC Technician
Location: Dallas, TX
Position OverviewWe are currently seeking an experienced Seasoned Data Center HVAC Technician to join our fast-growing team. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and strong problem-solving skills, as well as an active EPA Certification.
Job Responsibilities- Diagnose causes of problems and/or failures in heating/air conditioning systems, refrigeration systems, and food service equipment, for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs with no mistakes/callbacks
- Perform maintenance and service repairs, install new units, or replace parts of existing units according to specifications of 15 tons+
- Maintain larger PM contracts with more than 5 units
- Repair or replace defective parts in units and equipment and their controls
- Service and troubleshooting mini-splits and/or replacing smaller RTU’s and mini-splits for 15 tons or less
- Communicate with Dispatch to ensure completion of scheduled jobs
- Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and procedures for customers
- Provide elite customer service to every customer encountered
- Continual learning and development in the body of knowledge through First Call Academy, to ensure we set the bar for skill level in the industry
- Elite level of customer service to ensure we continue to be the First Call our customers make for their HVAC needs
This position reports to the local Service Manager and is responsible for engaging with the service team and all of our customers.
Qualifications- Experience working in a Data Center, preferred
- Valid Driver's License w/acceptable driving record
- Active EPA Certification
- 5+ years of experience in a commercial HVAC setting
- OSHA 10 Certification
- Manufacturer Certification is preferred
- Available to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Language
Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate with the customer and explain problems and resolutions clearly. Communicate updates with account managers on jobs.
Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including rate, ratio, and percent; ability to interpret graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and solve problems with several concrete variables. Demonstrates mental stamina for prioritizing multiple tasks and leading helpers as needed.
Physical Demands: Regularly required to use hands, stand, walk, and sit. Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
