HVAC Technician
At Moss Heating & Cooling we specialize in air conditioning installation and service for both residential and commercial. Moss Heating & Cooling is looking for a skilled professional who installs, maintains, and repairs heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in commercial buildings. They focus on larger, more complex systems found in businesses, schools, and industrial facilities, rather than residential systems.
Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and sometimes new system installations.
Installation:
Setting up new HVAC systems according to blueprints and wiring plans.
Maintenance:
Conduct regular inspections, cleaning, and servicing of equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Troubleshooting:
Diagnosing problems with HVAC systems using specialized tools and techniques.
Repairs:
Fixing faulty components, replacing worn parts, and ensuring systems are functioning safely and efficiently.
Energy Management:
Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of energy-efficient HVAC systems.
Customer Service:
Interacting with clients, explaining maintenance needs, and addressing concerns.
Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of refrigeration, electrical, and control systems.
Problem-Solving:
The ability to identify and resolve issues with HVAC equipment.
Mechanical Aptitude:
Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment.
Safety Awareness: A commitment to following safety protocols and using equipment safely.
Communication
Skills:
Effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and supervisors.
Physical Stamina:
Being able to lift heavy equipment, work in various environments, and stand for extended periods.
Requirements include high school or equivalent, commercial HVAC experience, clear and valid driver's license, EPA Certification a plus, Texas HVAC Technician Registration a plus, HVAC Trade School degree and OSHA 10 Hour training are a plus, Back Flow License a plus.
