The Opportunity

InCharge Energy is seeking an Electrical Technician III to support the service needs of its customers. The Electrician will work at the Dallas InCharge Office, reporting to the Service Manager. Key aspects of the work include running conduit, wiring and installation, diagnosing and repairing trouble with charging infrastructure in addition to handling regularly scheduled maintenance. The role requires significant regional travel with a focus on ensuring a timely and customer-centered turnkey delivery experience.

Key objectives include maintaining safety standards and timely completion of high-quality field installation work, and field support.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform infield installation of civil and electrical infrastructure including running conduit and wire, trenching and associated civil work, and other in field activities
  • Wiring buildings and electrical systems (commercial, industrial), installing lighting, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and panels, setting up electrical equipment, transformers, and generators
  • Troubleshooting electrical issues, repairing or replacing faulty wiring, fixtures, or equipment, performing outline inspections and preventive maintenance
  • Retrofitting older systems to meet current standards, upgrading panels or service capacity, installing energy-efficient systems (LED lighting)
  • Commissioning support for all EV Chargers
  • Assist in the coordination of third-party vendors for installations
  • Repair maintain, troubleshoot, and service electrical charging infrastructure using skills and tools that range from computer diagnostics to basic electrical tools
  • Measure charging infrastructure performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Represent the company at client locations with the highest standards of professional conduct
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation in Procore and Field Lightening
  • Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Your Experience and Capabilities
  • 8+ years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings
  • Electrical Journeyman or higher qualification (or state/province equivalent)
  • OSHA 30 Card required or ability to obtain in 120 days of hire
  • Associate’s degree or higher in an applicable technical field is desirable
  • ASE or other applicable certifications are desirable
  • Commercial Driver’s license or ability to obtain is highly desirable
  • ECAP certification (internal requirement) or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire
  • EVITP Certification or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire
  • Adaptable to the changing dynamics of start-up business strategy
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, resourceful, diligent, and able to operate independently with limited supervision (completing assigned work accurately and in a timely manner)
  • Proficiency with Procore, or equivalent software a plus
  • Ability to Travel 50%

* Equivalent is 8000 hours of hands on electrical construction experience US Hourly Range $39—$42 USD
