A leading data center operator in the Dallas-Fort Worth market is seeking a Data Center Technician to support critical facility operations within a high-availability environment. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in mission-critical facilities, electrical systems, structured cabling, or data center operations who want hands-on exposure to some of the most advanced infrastructure in the industry.
Responsibilities- Perform daily monitoring, inspections, and operational checks of critical infrastructure
- Support electrical and mechanical systems including UPS, generators, switch gear, PDUs, CRAC/CRAH units, and cooling equipment
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and facility issues while following established procedures
- Escort and coordinate vendors, contractors, and maintenance personnel on-site
- Assist with rack installations, structured cabling, and hardware deployments
- Complete preventative maintenance activities and maintain accurate documentation
- Support commissioning, testing, and turnover activities for new equipment and infrastructure
- Maintain compliance with safety procedures, MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs
- Participate in shift handovers and provide detailed operational reporting
- 2+ years of experience in a data center, critical facility, industrial, electrical, or facilities environment
- Understanding of electrical distribution systems, UPS, generators, and cooling infrastructure
- Experience performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting activities
- Ability to read technical drawings, one-line diagrams, and equipment documentation
- Strong commitment to safety and operational excellence
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, or on-call rotations as required
- Critical facilities or mission-critical environment experience
- Electrical, mechanical, military, or technical trade background
- Experience with BMS, EPMS, or DCIM systems
- OSHA, NFPA 70E, or related certifications
