A leading data center operator in the Dallas-Fort Worth market is seeking a Data Center Technician to support critical facility operations within a high-availability environment. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in mission-critical facilities, electrical systems, structured cabling, or data center operations who want hands-on exposure to some of the most advanced infrastructure in the industry.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily monitoring, inspections, and operational checks of critical infrastructure
  • Support electrical and mechanical systems including UPS, generators, switch gear, PDUs, CRAC/CRAH units, and cooling equipment
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and facility issues while following established procedures
  • Escort and coordinate vendors, contractors, and maintenance personnel on-site
  • Assist with rack installations, structured cabling, and hardware deployments
  • Complete preventative maintenance activities and maintain accurate documentation
  • Support commissioning, testing, and turnover activities for new equipment and infrastructure
  • Maintain compliance with safety procedures, MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs
  • Participate in shift handovers and provide detailed operational reporting
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in a data center, critical facility, industrial, electrical, or facilities environment
  • Understanding of electrical distribution systems, UPS, generators, and cooling infrastructure
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting activities
  • Ability to read technical drawings, one-line diagrams, and equipment documentation
  • Strong commitment to safety and operational excellence
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, or on-call rotations as required
Preferred
  • Critical facilities or mission-critical environment experience
  • Electrical, mechanical, military, or technical trade background
  • Experience with BMS, EPMS, or DCIM systems
  • OSHA, NFPA 70E, or related certifications
