Job SummaryCrown Technical Systems, a Flex Company, is a leader in power distribution and protection systems. We are looking to add a Site Installation Technician in Dallas, TX. The Technician will support our extraordinary teams by installing pre‑fabricated enclosure buildings using an array of tools and equipment. The role requires 90% overnight travel across the United States by company vehicle and/or airplane and a valid TSA air travel .
TypicalResponsibilities
- Review, analyze, and follow blueprints, diagrams, drawings, procedures, and work instructions to complete assemblies for enclosure buildings.
- Assemble and install electrical components including panel boards, HVAC units, battery systems, and electrical devices; bend conduit as required.
- Use power tools and hand tools (drills, impact drivers, screwdrivers, grinders, etc.) to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Conduct quality assurance checks to confirm that assembled products meet specifications and quality standards.
- Identify and record product defects; report them accordingly.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of necessary products for each job.
- Interface with project management, clients, and site personnel.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in wiring and installing electrical control/relay panels or mechanical assembly.
- Experience in a manufacturing or construction environment preferred.
- OSHA 10 Construction Certification preferred or must be obtained within the first 30 days.
- Current driver’s license and ability to pass an MVR to operate company vehicles.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform work accurately.
- Knowledge of manufacturing, equipment maintenance, and safety management.
- Reading comprehension skills with ability to interpret and follow written directions, blueprints and engineering diagrams.
- Basic math skills to meet technical specifications and measurements.
- Basic understanding of tools (tape measure, impact drill, etc.).
- Ability to maintain a tactful, orderly working relationship with others.
- Traverse all areas of the jobsite in all types of weather; may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
- Prolonged periods of standing and repetitive tasks.
- Lift up to 35 pounds at a time.
- Manual dexterity for assembling products or machines as directed.
- Excellent hand‑eye coordination.
- Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
- Wear PPE (gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, ear protection) while working on the production floor and at job sites.
