What you will doProvide our customers with the highest level of service to solve facility inefficiencies and resolve service-related items. As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of commissioning and aftermarket service, including recommendations and upselling opportunities, and prepare and provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
How you will do it- Work as part of a North America Branch team to start up, commission, troubleshoot, and provide aftermarket services for residential and/or ducted products, air‑cooled and/or water‑cooled chillers, AHUs, or roof‑top ducted units.
- Repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chiller system components, and perform strong HVAC/mechanical troubleshooting.
- Travel 10%–20% to support Branch customers’ startup, commissioning, and aftermarket service activities.
- Pass a knowledge examination to assess proficiencies and enroll in training programs and Johnson Controls’ Service Technical Academy (STA) to gain HVAC product and sales quoting knowledge.
- Work collaboratively with other local market mechanics, communicate customer problems, causes, and corrective actions, and write and provide quotes to customers.
- Prioritize safety in all forms, hold a Universal EPA refrigerants license, applicable state or local licensing, and a valid driver’s license.
- Join and be a dedicated member of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL‑CIO.
- Minimum of three (3) years of practical working experience on residential and/or ducted products, air‑cooled and/or water‑cooled chillers, AHUs, or roof‑top ducted units with strong HVAC/mechanical troubleshooting experience.
- Self‑starter with a passion/desire to learn and apply on the job, attention to detail, interpersonal, digital, and written skills.
- Ability to provide solutions, quotes, and participate in JCI’s Service Plus Rewards program.
- Self‑starter attitude and passion to learn, prioritize safety, and hold required licenses.
Pay range: 43.05 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. This is a bargaining unit position. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role. Exceptional candidates may have skills that exceed the typical profile.
