What we’re looking for?We are seeking a Commercial Fire/Intrusion Alarm Service Technician to join our National Accounts team. The Commercial Alarm Service Technician will be responsible for the installation, upgrading, service and maintenance of CCTV and fire and burglar alarm systems at various regional commercial retail locations across the Southern United States with several other regional locations likely. We seek self‑motivated, reliable technicians who are willing to travel and eager to learn and grow.
Responsibilities- Upgrading, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various CCTV and Fire/Burg Alarm Systems.
- Pulling, identifying and terminating various cables including, but not limited to, coaxial, cat5 and cat 6 cable.
- Work independently without direct supervision and effectively communicate the progress of service tickets to management.
- Safely use various types of man lifts, hand/power tools, and work from ladders, scaffolds, or at heights above 25 feet.
- Maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills and attentiveness to detail.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct while representing I.C.E. Contractors.
- Provide service within a specified region; travel over longer distances may be required as work warrants.
- Minimum 3 years of Intrusion and Fire Alarm experience in a large commercial/retail setting (service experience preferred).
- Previous troubleshooting experience with Bosch Fire/Burg Panels and Fire Lite FACP (experience with large box retailer systems is a plus).
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for the last 3 years.
- Ability to operate different types of aerial man lifts.
- Fire Alarm and Burglar Alarm licenses required for the state of Texas (must obtain necessary licenses within 30 days if not already licensed).
- NICET Level 2 or ESA CAFT 2 or higher preferred as a nationally recognized certification.
