We have current opening for a Certified Journeyman Electrician for our Airfield Lighting project at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) in Dallas, TX. Position has opportunity to work on various other airfield lighting projects.

The Journeyman Electrician will provide leadership, efficient installation of electrical work, training, and quality control. The Journeyman may also be responsible for the development of apprentices and trainees assigned to them.

- Take lead to delegate tasks & train craft workers, ensuring effective communication regarding work plans and smooth operations
- Demonstrate initiative, supporting team success and safety.
- Perform installation, repair, maintenance, and testing of electrical systems across commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
- Utilize hand and power tools to measure, cut, bend, thread, and install wire and cable systems, conduits, and raceways
- Feed, pull, and terminate wires within control centers, distribution boxes, transformers, transducers, switch gear, receptacles, and switches
- Troubleshoot issues and prepare sketches and schematic diagrams. Take ownership and anticipate needs
- Maintain high workmanship standards, ensuring quality and efficiency; effort and initiative directly reflect in project and personal success.
- Must posses a current and valid Texas Journeyman Certification

- Must have electrical skills, including, but not limited to; plan reading, layout, various conduit bending, wire pulling, and ability to follow directions
- Must be proficient with the use of hand power tools
- Must have reliable transportation and your own hand tools
- Airfield Runway/Runway Lighting Experience Preferred
- Underground Experience Preferred
- Must be eligible for airport badging process
- Ability to work at surrounding airports
- Install, repair, maintain, and test commercial, industrial and residential electrical systems
- Use industry related hand tools and power tools
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, etc. and install wire and electrical cable systems, conduit systems and other wire raceway systems
- Splice and terminate wires at junction points
- Prepare sketches and schematic diagrams showing the location of wiring and electrical systems
- Delegate tasks and assist with training other employees
- Communicate effectively with Foremen and crew members
- Adhere to all Royal Electric Company safety procedures and protocols
- Must wear proper PPE while on jobsites.
- Must comply with all safety standards and procedures
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites.
- The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
